THE HAMMER FALLS ONCE AGAIN FOR LOCAL CHARITY PROFIT

Auctioneer Mike Hamlet, general manager and owner of Dig For Vintage Ltd. in full flow for the Annual Sea Scout general auction held at Brighstone's Wilberforce Hall.

The 1st Brighstone Sea Scouts hope to raise substantial funds once again with the annual furniture auction now in it's 14th year being held at the Wilberforce Hall in Brighstone village on Saturday 22nd February.Viewing from 9am with refreshments served all day in the Scout Centre. The auction commences proptly at 1pm.

The cash raised will go towards the general up keep of the Scout and Guide Community Centre and help fund the years action packed activities, events and camping trips.

Mike's three sons were all members of the 1st Brighstone Sea Scouts and he has held the hammer and stepped up to the rostrum for eleven years now " The event is very much part of the island calendar and is visited by locals and people from all over the the island and beyond."? "They are all looking for bargins and participating in the fun, we don't take it too seriously, it's an excuse to get together and have a laugh, all in a good cause"
