Vintage Remington Portable Typewriter Early 1920's

The first truely portable tyewriter, advertised in 1922 as a complete portable typewriter that will be prized by anyone because it is helpful, useful, pratical and valuable and was endorsed by santa himself. Now that's my kind of typewriter! The slogans went on " A thoughtful gift, for Wife or Husband, for Son or Daughter, for Teacher or Pastor and or a dear Friend.

Another ad shows a hiker sat, back against a tree stump in the American wilderness, illustrated by Emmett Watson and states "It carries, it's table on it's back!"  "These are the words of a prominnent author and traveller concerning the Remington Portable" " The permanent baseboard makes it wonderfully convenient to use anywhere and under all conditions, at home or afield.
You can operate it eaqually well before your cosy fire place or on your lap while seated on a log in the woods." Convenience is only one of the Remington Portable's many advantages. It is the most complete Portable Typewriter.
Has the standard keyboard and many big machine features. Light, durable amd compact;  fits in a case only four inches high!

Well I could'nt  put better myself!  A wonderful slice of modern history and a unique gift
