As soon as you step into Dig For Vintage you are transported back in time, iconic fashion styles from decades past are displayed in colourful array, hats, coats, evening dresses, jackets, shoes and handbags.

Along side the Annie Sloan paints,waxes and brushes stylish vintage mirrors, framed pictures, maps and prints hang from the walls and a bright crystal chandelier hangs above a 1930s haberdashery counter filled with vintage fabric, linens, table clothes, evening gloves, beautiful accessories and stylish vintage jewellery even gents neck ties, braces and cravats.
Dig For Vintage has been steadily building the business over the last ten years and have collected a unique hoard of antiques and vintage pieces from the early Victorian period right up to the early 1980s.

Authentic mid century furniture rubs shoulders with Victorian tables, vintage parlour pantries from the 1940s filled with enamel ware, period china and kitchenalia to match. Well travelled trunks, suitcases and baskets are stacked alongside displays of textiles, rugs, vintage lamps, ceramics, glassware and fine porcelain.

Everything is carefully selected and lovingly put together to create an interesting customer experience.
The team think that one of best parts of the business is finding interesting pieces that are in need of tender loving care and to give them a new lease of life. At Dig For Vintage we hate unnecessary waste of any kind and to repurpose for example a Victorian dressing table or a 1950s sewing box is so satisfying, as it will be used and loved for many years to come. We are always on the lookout for original period fashion, fabrics, textiles and furnishings. Our aim is to collect and offer classic vintage pieces that will suit all styles and budgets”.

Our shop is also speckled with fun pieces, pretty tea sets, jugs, coffee pots, and stylish vases, cushions, sewing boxes, chairs, cabinets and other up cycled treasures, along with vintage radios, typewriters, toys, games, childrens books with many interesting first editions. For the garden there are galvanised watering cans, fire buckets, baths, clay pots and even vintage gardening tools.

Conditions of Use
Order placement
Once you have placed all the items you want in your shopping cart, please proceed to the checkout where you will be guided through the simple and secure payment process. Please note that Country cottage collectables and Digforvintage are fully committed to protecting our customers' information; therefore we will only ever use your personal details for the purpose for which it was given and will never share or pass this information to any third party.
Please note: We are always happy to provide you with further information.
Don’t be afraid to ask! At a push and if you are very patient we can even obtain further pictures of your intended purchase.
Payment
UK Buyers
We accept payment by all major credit and debit cards, but only via PayPal. It is simple and quick to register and also free. You do not require a PayPal account. Just go to www.paypal.co.uk. You can of course pay with a PayPal balance. Please can customers make sure that the address on their PayPal account is also the delivery address for their order.
International buyers
We welcome customers from outside the UK. PayPal is the only method of payment we can accept from international buyers.
Delivery
Delivery costs vary between each product. Once you have placed an item in your shopping cart you will be able to see the delivery cost for that item. You can still remove it at this point if you are not happy with the shipping costs.
Multiple Orders
We are more than happy to combine postage costs if you are ordering more than one item. This isn't always possible as a multiple order can cost the same as sending several things individually but we will try our best to save you money if we can. Please let us know via the Contact page what you would like to purchase and a postage cost will be emailed to you. We regret partial postage refunds cannot be issued after you have purchased and paid.
We aim to despatch parcels as quickly as possible but please allow up to 14 days for delivery before getting in touch regarding your order status.
*Please be aware that we are a rurally based business and although we try to post as often as possible it may be that your order will not be posted for a few days after you have placed it. If you need something in a hurry, do please get in touch and we will do everything we can to get your order to you as quickly as possible.
Delays can also be caused by Bank Holidays, Ferries, Industrial action, Cows on the road, Red Squirrels eating through power cables, Dogs eating order forms, Boys being a nuisance and generally life just getting in the way.
Please note that larger items and furniture may take longer to be delivered.
If a delay is anticipated we will keep you informed.
UK
Parcels are automatically insured up to the value of £41.00 against loss or damage (there are exceptions to this; notably breakables such as glass or china) Goods over the value of £41.00 will be sent without insurance unless this is specifically requested and paid for separately so please be aware of this before ordering. Uninsured items are sent entirely at your own risk and we cannot be held responsible for any loss or breakages thereafter.
In some instances, there may be an additional cost involved in shipping to the Channel Islands, Isle of Man Scottish Highlands and Islands and other far flung beautiful places. Please email before purchasing for confirmation.
Country cottage collectables and Digforvintage will not be held responsible for a delayed delivery once it is in the hands of a third party.
It goes without saying so here goes, wherever possible we use recycled packaging. This is because it’s what we do and it helps to keep the cost of delivery down.
International
We are happy to ship worldwide, however the delivery costs quoted are for the UK only. Please email to discuss shipping costs before ordering.
Returns and condition of goods
Please be aware that the items we sell at Country cottage collectables and Digforvintage are genuine previously used pieces and not from a factory in the Far East unless they are of course, from a factory in the Far East and as a consequence may show some signs of wear commensurate with age. What we consider a major fault or product damage will always be brought to your attention in the description but an item is likely to have some general wear in addition to that. Items will not be refunded due to being old, vintage or collectable. However the customer is always right and if you are unhappy with your purchase in any way, you may return it in the condition in which it was received and in the original packaging for a full refund minus original and any additional postage costs. We will accept returns within 10 working days of receipt. It is strongly recommended that you send returns via a secure delivery method such as recorded delivery because if they don’t come back you don’t get a refund.
Any shipping costs incurred by us will be deducted from any refunds given on returned items.

All sizes are as near as we can get them but are approximate.
A note about images
The images of our genuine vintage pieces displayed in our online shops are the best we can do. We are not professional photographers, but are trying to give a true representation of the article for sale, please be aware that the picture that is taken by the camera and the one that you see on your computer screen may have slight differences. Lot's of elements can affect the final image quality and therefore some things such as colours may not be 100% accurate but please remember we are selling quality vintage items and really want you to be happy with your purchase.
