Deans Monster Book for Girls Published for Christmas 1947

A book of fifteen short stories with black and white illustrations and one colour picture page as shown. Stories include: The haunted city, Shelia's sacrifice, Sally changes more than her mind, Ursula Understudy, The Yellow Chiffon Dress and Pest and Nuisance.

All the pages are remarkably clean and the book is in excellant condition with the exception of the tear in the page opposite the colour plate, as shown. 

One reason for the almost untouched condition maybe the fact that a lot of the chapters are a little mixed up, never mind dear, there is still rationing you know, now be a good girl and off you trot, Oh and no skipping in the hall,  Vivienne!
